The loan was used to build new concrete pens. These new pens accommodate an extra 10 pigs and 30 piglets. The loan was also used to improve the water supply by constructing a bore hole which not only supplies the farm but the entire village. The loan enabled the training department to grow into a fully-fledged school, The Golden Scissors Styling Academy, that has created two new jobs. In addition, the business has offered scholarships to AIDS orphans and other students from marginalised backgrounds to a tune of UGX 6,300,000 (£1,575)
